Back with another clumsy girl pro tip for painting your nails at home. I call this one the “avant-garde french”. Here’s how you do it:
Paint the entire nail with one coat of a pale pink or white polish (I used Essie Like Linen). It’s easy to look like you did an awesome job when the polish is pale. Let it dry for 5 - 10 minutes or so.
Using your secondary color (I used Chanel Blue Satin) lightly drag the brush from the lowest point you want the tip to reach back up to the top. Repeat until you have the “design” you’d like on each tip. The secret about this part is that you pretend you made them all different on purpose — and your unsteady left hand actually becomes your ally producing all sorts of randomness. Let that dry for 5 - 10 minutes so you don’t smear the tips when going for the top coat.
Apply a clear topcoat to the entire nail and you are good to go.
