I am skeptical of savory foods that take their cue from dessert.

My friend Anj lost her wallet last week, so until she gets her replacement cards she’s stuck with personal checks. We went out Saturday night, and she insisted on micro-payments to document the evening. Checks are such a novelty, they can now double as souvenirs.

Lectures, workshops, courses, panels, tastings, etc. for the culinary curious. I’m thinking of attending the Elizabethan Dinner with Francine Segan. Shakespearean performance? Meat pies and Sherry? Any takers?

My lunch came with Thai Iced Tea. Yay! Said tea came in a bowl that requires me to stick my entire face in it to drink. Boo!

Etsy apparently appeals to a wide demographic where both hair ribbons and Ozzy Osbourne prayer candles can find a home. [I did discover a couple of sweet new shops: NStyleVintage, Something’s Hiding in Here, and Little Apple Crafts]
