Jim Henson’s Fantastic World opens at the Museum of the Moving Image this weekend. The exhibit features drawings, storyboards, props, films and fifteen puppets (!!!) — including Kermit, Miss Piggy, Bert and Ernie.
And bonus, there’s a free audio tour available for download featuring Karen Falk, Director of the Henson Archives; Craig Shemin, former writer for The Jim Henson Company; and Cheryl Henson, Jim Henson’s daughter and the president of the Henson Foundation.

Particularly excited about marionette craftsman Eric Sanko’s new show about Arctic explorer Ernest Shackleton, the Berliner Ensemble’s cabaret influenced production of The Threepenny Opera and the NY premiere of choreographer John Jasperse’s Canyon.
